With school-day presentations and open rehearsals, free community performances and family events, Utah Regional Ballet fosters an appreciation of ballet as a vital art form. These programs touch the lives of more than 10,000 Utah Valley residents of all ages each year.
URB is distinguished for its commitment to preserving classical ballet, performing works of original and historical choreography, magnificent scenery and costuming, and for involving local youth in both performance and arts education symposia. Utah Regional Ballet is enriching the community and making a lasting difference for good.
Families Affected by Autism: Because of unique behavior associated with autism, families with autistic children often feel they cannot attend enriching live performances such as the ballet. This performance is produced exclusively for these families.
Choreography Design Competition Symposium for High School Students: This gives High School students interested in choreography and/or dance performance and their teachers the opportunity to experience this collaborative process. Utah Valley dance students attend a dress rehearsal, followed by a question and answer period with URB’s Artistic Director, URB Dancers and the Choreographers.
Matinee performances for Elementary and Middle schools: Many children are never given the opportunity to experience the beauty of the arts. Utah Regional Ballet is pleased to provide these unique education matinees to Utah children.
Summerfest: Utah Regional Ballet’s dancers venture outdoors for Summerfest. In partnership with Orem City, URB enjoys participating in this annual community celebration packed with exciting events, fun family activities, and entertaining performances including, Arts in the Park.
