Qing Sun

Qing Sun began his dance career in 1996, studying Chinese traditional dance at the prestigious Shenyang Conservatory of Music, in Shenyang, China. After graduating in 2002, Qing continued his studies at the Vienna Conservatory, in Vienna, Austria, focusing on hip-hop and modern dance.  After graduating in 2008, Qing returned to China for a short time before relocating to Los Angeles, California, where he began training in classical ballet with the Long Beach Ballet. Participating in Long Beach Ballet's summer intensives, Qing toured in China for three consecutive summers, performing repertoire with Long Beach Ballet and in association with the Guangzhou Ballet. During his time with Long Beach, he performed soloist roles in the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Aladdin. Besides performing with Long Beach in Regional Dance America Pacific for several seasons, in 2012 Qing Sun also participated in Youth America Grand Prix as a non-competing partner, qualifying for and performing in the finals held in New York City, New York. In 2013 Qing was invited to join the Utah Regional Ballet, where he has been dancing until the present time. Qing Sun starts the 2015-16 season as a Principal dancer.
